PHI 217 - Religions of the West 3 cr. A critical study of the major religions of the West: Mediterranean, Judaism, Christianity, Islam. Emphasis is on the philosophical issues that arise from the worldview of each religion. Students study such areas as the ultimate source and nature of God, the universe, the nature of humanity and our place in the cosmos, and the relationship between religion and world culture. Pre and/or Corequisite: ENG 101 .
