Program Description
Teaching Assistant Level III credit course offerings for completion of the required 9 college credit hours required by New York State for the application for Teaching Assistant Level III. Applicants will be required to hold a New York State Teaching Assistant level II Certificate.

EDU 201 Introduction to Elementary Schools and Teaching
Student Learning Outcomes
Students will:
- Communicate effectively both in oral and written formats.
- Articulate a beginning philosophy of education, and demonstrate an awareness of the role of diversity in education.
- Exhibit a beginning understanding of child development.
- Demonstrate foundational knowledge of and an appreciation for the cultural, social, and natural worlds.
