Program Description

The Music program is designed to provide students with foundation courses in music theory, music history, and applied music that will prepare them for transfer to bachelor’s degree programs for further study in music. The program is a core curriculum with a complementary selection of general education courses. This program is available for both part‐time and full‐time students.

Students may choose to complete the Music AS program with a concentration in Entrepreneurship, which offers students the opportunity to study the business of music while still receiving instruction in music theory, aural skills, and performance. This concentration is designed for students wishing to transfer to a four-year institution to pursue a degree in music or music business.
