ART 128 - Analog Photography 3 cr. This course is an introduction to the fundamentals and practice of black and white photography. The student will be instructed in the techniques of: camera work; proper exposure; development of film and photographic paper; and how to make finished prints and present them. There will be weekly discussions and critiques and the instructor will give presentations on the history of photography and artists working today. Students will need a digital camera of reasonable quality (no camera phones). (Students should have a 35mm camera with a working light meter or you must have a hand held one. If you don’t have a camera it is suggested you speak with the instructor and they will recommend one and a place to buy it. Fully automatic cameras will not be accepted for class.)
