MAT 160 - Pre‐Calculus 4 cr.

Topics in mathematics preparatory to MAT 170 are covered in this course. Students study functions (polynomial, rational, exponential, logarithmic, and trigonometric), inverse functions, and conic sections. A scientific calculator is required. Graphing calculators are not permitted. 4 hours lecture. Prerequisite: MAT 115 with a grade of C or better, high school equivalent or by Entering Student Assessment.
