PSY 201 - Social Psychology 3 cr.


Students explore human behavior and its cognitive, emotional, and biological origins, and apply this understanding to social settings. Specific topics include aspects of the self and its development, nonverbal communication, the dynamics of relationships, the psychology of social media and persuasion, conformity, obedience, aggression, and altruistic behavior. This course emphasizes critical thinking and the application of psychological theory to everyday life. Prerequisite:  PSY 101 ; and ENG 101 .
