POS 204 - Political and Social Philosophy 3 cr. Students study major concepts and ideas central to political and social philosophy. These include the origins of social and political life, the bases of political obligation and legitimate authority, and the nature of power. Students read, discuss and write about the ideas of diversity of classical and contemporary thinkers from various disciplines who treat these concepts. Pre and/or Corequisite: ENG 101 .
