CHE 200 - Organic Chemistry Essentials 3 cr.

The nomenclature, properties, preparation, reaction mechanisms, and stereochemistry of the following classes of compounds are studied in this course: aliphatic hydrocarbons(alkanes, alkenes, and alkynes), alkyl halides, alcohols, amines, ethers and carbonyl compounds. Content will focus on essential concepts, using simpler examples, compared with CHE 201 - Organic Chemistry I 3 cr. and CHE 202 - Organic Chemistry II 3 cr..
