VTS 256 - Small Animal Diseases and Nursing 4 cr.

Students will study how to assess normal and abnormal small animal vital functions, understand vaccine protocols, properly use fluids and medications, recognize common diseases, and provide care for healthy and hospitalized patients. They will learn a wide variety of nursing skills including prophylactic dental care. 3 hrs. lect; 240 hrs. clinical skills practicum at a veterinary hospital.
